Design and production of fire curtains

Specialising in the manufacture of smoke barriers and fire curtains, Eurosafe Italia provides state-of-the-art solutions that can be customised to suit different application and usage needs. Fire curtains, in particular, represent a passive system that allows small and large compartments to be created in order to keep in line with EU directives regarding fire loads in buildings.

Fire curtains can be applied in any context and their installation simply requires attachment to walls, floors and fire-resistant surfaces, with the exception of escape routes, for which, being an automatic device, they are prohibited by law.

The fire barriers are also equipped with a Fail Safe Gravity system, which is designed to ensure proper operation in the presence of an alarm or in the event of an electrical failure, due to damage to the control unit or the loss of mains power for more than 6 hours.

Operation

Smoke barriers and fire curtains are housed inside a galvanised steel collection box. As soon as the event occurs, they descend at a controlled speed into side guides, which prevent the flames and smoke from escaping.

The system is also equipped with a control unit, which acts as an intermediary between the curtain and the fire detection system in the building. If no fire detection system is present in the company, the fire curtain is supplied by Eurosafe Italia complete with ORS smoke detectors.

Control unit

A control unit that sends an activation signal to the motor in the event of fire, a signal by which the blind proceeds to descend.

The flexibility of the system allows for field programming of the control parameters and coordination of the tubular operators of the smoke and heat barriers.
